HELI COMPANY Continues Aerial Firefighting Operations in France

This year’s wildfire season across Europe is already placing significant demands on the preparedness of firefighting and emergency response services. Once again, HELI COMPANY is contributing to the international aerial firefighting effort, with our UH-60 Black Hawk helicopters being deployed wherever their exceptional capabilities help protect lives, property, and Europe’s natural heritage from devastating wildfires.

Two HELI COMPANY UH-60 Black Hawk helicopters are currently continuing wildfire suppression operations in France under the European Union Civil Protection Mechanism (rescEU). Operating in extremely challenging conditions, the crews perform dozens of water drops each day, supporting French firefighting authorities in combating large-scale wildfires that have led to extensive evacuations and required international assistance. As of today, the helicopters have completed more than 146 water drops, delivering over 438,000 litres of water onto the affected areas.

This deployment once again demonstrates our continuous readiness to respond to emergencies anywhere in Europe. We are proud that our flight crews and technical personnel can once again support international firefighting efforts during this demanding wildfire season, providing assistance where it is needed most.

Our ability to rapidly deploy UH-60 Black Hawk helicopters for emergency response operations throughout Europe is the result of many years of operational experience, a high standard of training, and the professionalism and dedication of the entire HELI COMPANY team.
