From 25 to 27 August 2026, HELI COMPANY’s SMS/ISMS Manager attended the three-day Cyber Security in ATM workshop, organised by the Slovak Transport Authority in cooperation with EUROCONTROL and hosted at the premises of Air Navigation Services of the Slovak Republic in Bratislava.
The workshop focused on current information and cyber security issues in civil aviation. The programme covered developments in cyber threats affecting European aviation, the security of Communication, Navigation and Surveillance (CNS) systems, cyber security incident management, ATM security oversight, as well as the roles and services provided by EATM-CERT, the Security Operations Centre (SOC) and Public Key Infrastructure (PKI). The programme also included expert discussions with EUROCONTROL representatives.
From HELI COMPANY’s perspective, the workshop reaffirmed the importance of information security principles already applied within the company’s ISMS in accordance with Part-IS requirements, particularly in the areas of information security risk management, incident reporting and response, and enhancing information security awareness among personnel.
Participation in the workshop also provided an opportunity to exchange knowledge and experience and gain a broader perspective on current developments in cyber security across the European aviation sector.
